Is ACCESS a higher priority than SAFETY?
The fact is that we are diverted by the media to focus on the issue of CHOICE or ACCESS no matter how unsafe or unsanitary the 'accessible' facility providing the 'choice' of abortion is for the women in our community. The whole notion of the abhorrent conditions of a 'back alley abortion' where lives were in danger in the hands of unqualified personnel performing medical procedures in unsafe environments, using unsanitary tools, without the necessary support\care making it risky for the woman. Isn't that the case at Capital Care Network per the numerous citations in the health department inspection forms, the court cases and the police records of the medical staff?
Are we allowing back alley abortions to be disguised behind store front creds?
